Sutherland-Chan Clinic was founded by Grace Chan, Christine Sutherland and Rhona Birenbaum in 1983 and has since established itself as a leader in the massage therapy industry for over 35 years. Our reputation is based on consistently providing the highest quality of care and service to our clients.
At Sutherland-Chan all of our Massage Therapists are RMTs (Registered Massage Therapists). RMTs must complete a training program from a Private Career College or Public College under the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and be licensed by the College of Massage Therapy of Ontario. RMT massage treatments are covered by some extended health care plans; be sure to check your employee benefits for Massage Therapy coverage.
Currently we have over 150 registered massage therapists working at our clinics. Many of our therapists are graduates of Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic, our sister company which is committed to excellence in the training of its students. In addition to their high quality training, our therapists have a wide range of skills, approaches and techniques to meet the needs of our clients.
We now operate ten professional massage therapy clinics in the Greater Toronto area and in Belleville.
